Success and Richness

If somebody asks someone to name the list of most successful and rich people on earth, the list is sure to have the name of only those who made it to the top, or so called "top". Schumacher, Sachin tendulkar, Bill Gates, Roger Federer, Warren Buffet... the list goes on without the name of many common men who actually deserve a place on that list. There is this general definition for Richness and Success - success measured as the top spot of every stream and richness measured solely based on money. Now lets take Sachin Tendulkar for example. One of the greatest batsman the cricketing fraternity has ever seen. Harsha Bhogle, an ardent fan of Sachin says in a video of his that sachin stayed away from his family at the age of 12. In an interview with Harsha Bhogle, Sachin says for a long time, his son would not speak to him on the day he was to leave for the tournament and would not talk to him over the phone either. By the nature of creation, a woman expects her husband to spend a lot of time with her. Sachin was passionate about cricket and he reached the place where he is through a lot of commitment, dedication, discipline AND sacrifice such as those mentioned above. He could not really spend time with his wife and children though he loves them and wants to spend time with them. And yes, he got the reward for all his hardwork, commitment and sacrifices. The life of any man on top will have similar sacrifices in them. But does it mean only they are successful and rich?? Not at all. Success and richness are measured not by the society, but by the individual who creates his own scale to measure them. Some people choose not to dream big because they know that it'll come with all this sacrifices. When they weigh within themselves the importance of their dream and the sacrifices they'll have to face, they decide not to make those sacrifices because their heart tells them they are more important than their dream. And they live unnoticed, yet happily. They too are indeed successful and rich because they have what they want, in terms of both satisfaction and money.
